ELIGIBILITY/FEES: Residential treatment
center for referrals from Texas Youth Commission, Child Protective Services
and Juvenile Probation Department. No fees.
PROGRAM OFFERED: The drug and alcohol
programs provide a comprehensive approach to chemical
dependency treatment that is designed to impact clients
in the interrelated areas of substance use/abuse, socialization,
education/vocation, family, and delinquency/criminality. |
PHILOSOPHY: 12-step, behavioral, cognitive, medical, and
psychiatric.
DRUG PROBLEMS ADDRESSED: Alcohol,
amphetamines, barbiturates, cannabis, cocaine/crack,
hallucinogens, heroin/opioids, inhalants, nicotine,
poly-drug, and prescription drugs.
POPULATIONS SERVED: Texas
Youth Commission adolescent males, ages 10 to 14; Texas
Department of Family and Protective Services adolescent
males and females, ages 10 to 17; Contracted county
juvenile probation department adolescent males and females,
ages 10 to 17.
TREATMENT STATEGIES: Cognitive
behavior therapy, continuing after care, individual
sessions, group counseling, family counseling, recreational
therapy, relapse prevention, self-help groups, stress
and anger management, and vocational training.
FORMS OF PAYMENT ACCEPTED: State-funded through the Texas Department of Family
Protective Services (TDFPS), contracted county Juvenile
Probation Departments and the Texas Youth Commission
(TYC).
PROGRAM COMPONENTS: Residential
treatment, and emergency shelter.
